Uppsala HK was one of 104 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Irsta Blixten 2018. They participated with 8 teams in Pojkar 06, Pojkar 03, Flickor 08, Flickor 07, Flickor 06 and Flickor 05 respectively. The team in Pojkar 03 made it to the the 1/4 Final in Slutspel A, but lost it against Skogås HK by 6-15.

In addition to this, Uppsala HK have participated in Irsta Blixten before. During Irsta Blixten 2017, Uppsala had 16 teams playing in all categories except Pojkar 08, Pojkar 07, Pojkar 06, Pojkar 05, Pojkar 04, Pojkar 03, Pojkar 01/02, Flickor 08, Flickor 07, Flickor 06, Flickor 05, Flickor 04, Flickor 03 and Flickor 01/02. Two teams played until in Gruppspel; Flickor 07 1 and Flickor 07 2 .

Uppsala comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 67 km from Västerås, where Irsta Blixten takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide four additional clubs participating during Irsta Blixten 2018 (Skånela IF, Rosersbergs IK, Bålsta IF and Vassunda IF).
